This Master's degree has been offered online since 2008, making it one of the longest standing online legal programs in the United States.  There is both an LLM (for those with a JD or LLB), and a MSL (Masters of Science of Law for those with a Bachelors degree).     Students have three choices for concentrations:

1) Taxation

2) Financial Services and Wealth Management

3) Financial Compliance and Risk Management

Here is some additional information about the program:

Program Length: The program is 24 units and the MSL program is 30 units long. Most courses last 8 weeks.  The Program is designed for working professionals, with only one course taken at a time!  If desired, students can finish the degree in one year.

Student to Faculty Ratio:  The online programs maintain a very low Student to Faculty ratio to ensure individualized attention for each student.  Courses average a 6:1 Student to Faculty ratio.

Entirely Asynchronous:  Completely on your schedule.  There is never a specific time where you have to be at your computer.  Learn on your schedule!

What to expect each week in a course?  Generally, each week you will complete the following:  1) Discussion forum participation; 2) Watch recorded professor lectures; 3) Complete assigned reading; 4) Complete assignments (generally 2-3 per term).

How are students assessed?  All assessments are designed to prepare students to become practitioners.  Generally, students will partake in real world client scenarios-such as writing memos or conducting relevant research and writing projects.
